Sharpen or buy a new circular saw blade?

Sharpening is usually worthwhile: a professionally resharpened blade will in many cases perform almost like new again – at a fraction of the cost of a new blade.

It pays to look not just at the price of an individual tool, but at the cost over its entire service life – in other words, at how much you cut with one blade in total.

What you gain from sharpening

Especially for blades in constant use, resharpening is an economically sensible alternative to buying new.

  • longer tool life
  • consistent machining quality
  • predictable tooling costs
  • stable, reproducible production processes

When a new blade makes more sense

If too little substance is left, the blade body is damaged, or a blade with a different design is better suited to your application, a new blade is often the better choice. We will tell you before we start work.

In that case, we make the right blade ourselves – tailored to material, machine and process. New circular saw blades

Conserving resources

Reconditioning extends the service life of existing blades and reduces the need for new tools – conserving resources.

Your quotation
